The Role of the Sympathetic Nervous System in Health and Disease
The goal of this class is to present concepts of how the sympathetic nervous system is involved in regulating health and its role in the disease process. Ganglionic anatomy and physiology will be addressed including how the neurochemical messaging system works to maintain dynamic equilibrium. Embryology, anatomy, physiology and pathology will all be covered as to how clinical patterns manifest in the clinical setting. Laboratory time will reflect concepts presented in lecture and treatment will be demonstrated.
